ALL ABOUT MAKING GEOMETRICAL BUCKS POINT LACE
Haywards Heath (GB) 2006, 262 pp., 28×21 cm, paperback
Text: English

This book is a unique technical manual for geometrical Bucks Point lace down to the last detail. No wonder it is called "All about...", as everything seems to be included that might by any means become a problem in this technique.

The book shows 30 projects explained in great detail, i.e. with rather longish texts; thus a very good grasp of English will be absolutely necessary. The patterns itself are not meant to show a great variety in the first place, as they are clearly not in the focus of interest. – All in all a manual made with meticulous care and love of details, with 262 pages quite a ‘fat’ tome (with an adequate price). Recommendable for those who want to study Bucks Point or any other point ground lace intensively, or as a reference book for teachers and the more advanced lacemakers.
