As for each of the congresses, for the OIDFA congress in Adelaide there is a new folder of patterns for 19 quite different pieces of lace in a variety of techniques by different designers.

The emphasis here is rather on modern designs but there are also patterns in traditional style and one reconstruction of an old piece of lace. There are lace mats and lace edgings for mats, bobbin lace pictures and jewellery, bookmarks and straight lace with corners. The techniques used include Flanders lace, Mechlin and point de Paris, Valenciennes, point ground, Chrysanthemum lace, fine Bruges flower lace and Torchon.

Knowledge of the technique is always assumed. In general the materials required, lace pricking and a coloured working diagram are given on the pattern sheets.
